IPL 2021 Final: Ruturaj Gaikwad won the Orange Cap with 635 runs while Faf du Plessis also got past the 600-run mark with an 86 in the final against KKR. The two CSK openers have scored 1268 runs together in the season.
Chennai Super Kings opener Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis broke a 7-year-old franchise record for the most number of fifty-plus stands in the Indian Premier League. Ruturaj and du Plessis stitched a fifty-plus stand in the IPL 2021 final after CSK were asked to bat by Kolkata Knight Riders captain Eoin Morgan who won the toss in Dubai on Friday.
It was their 7th fifty-plus stand in IPL 2021 as the duo continued its golden run with the bat in IPL 2021. Ruturaj and du Plessis broke the Chennai Super Kings record of 6 fifty-plus partnerships in a season set by Michael Hussey and Suresh Raina in 2013.
