IPL 2021: Rishabh Pant wants to be the main man and the leader, says Delhi Capitals coach Ricky Ponting

Head coach Ricky Ponting believes Rishabh Pant will thrive in the extra responsibility of leading Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League this season.

This will be the first time Pant will be leading a team in the IPL and Ponting is really excited to see what the young wicketkeeper does in IPL 2021. Pant has big shoes to fill in as Iyer had taken DC to their maiden IPL final last year. DC qualified for the playoffs in the last two seasons under Iyer which is why there will be a bit of pressure on Pant to do the same this year.
