IPL 2021: Royal Challengers Bangalore star AB de Villiers said it's not easy to return to decent form after not having played competitive cricket but stressed he worked hard on his fitness and skills in the lead up to the new IPL season.
Former South Africa batsman and Royal Challengers Bangalore star AB de Villiers shed light on his preparation for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, saying returning to decent form involved a lot of hard work. De Villiers did not play any competitive games since last year's IPL but he said he worked hard on his fitness and skills to be in shape for the new season. AB de Villiers looked like he had been playing competitive cricket on a regular manner as he smashed a match-winning 48 from just 27 balls for Royal Challengers Bangalore in their IPL 2021 opener against Mumbai Indians in Chennai on April 9. It seemed as if the South Africa star was batting on a completely different surface as other batsmen from both teams struggled to get used to the sluggish surface at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. De Villiers hit 2 sixes and 4 boundaries as his late burst helped RCB chase down 160 in their season opener.More Related News
