IPL 2021: RCB all-rounder Danie Sams has tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of the IPL 2021. Earlier, team's opener Devdutt Padikkal had tested positive for Covid-19.

RCB all-rounder Devdutt Padikkal has tested positive for Covid-19 in his second after arriving in India. In an official statement, the Bengaluru-based franchise said that Sams had checked in the team's Chennai hotel with a negative report but was found to be positive in the 2nd Test, the result of which came on Wednesday. "Official Statement: Daniel Sams checked into the team hotel in Chennai on April 3rd, with a negative COVID report on arrival. His report from the 2nd test on 7th April came positive. Sams is currently asymptomatic and he is currently in isolation at a designated medical facility," the RCB statement read. Earlier, team's opener Devdutt Padikkal had tested positive for Covid-19 during his hotel quarantine.
