IPL 2021: Andre Russell said he planned the first-ball yorker to AB de Villiers during KKR's massive 9-wicket win over RCB on Monday. Russell and Varun Chakravarthy helped bowl out RCB for 92 after Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat in his 200th IPL game.
Kolkata Knight Riders' star all-rounder Andre Russell said he wanted to plan and outsmart AB de Villiers, highlighting that the South African star had taken their bowling attack apart when the two sides met earlier in the IPL 2021 season in India.
AB de Villiers hit a 34-ball 76 in Chennai against KKR in April but he departed for a golden duck on Monday in Abu Dhabi. De Villiers was not able to join Glenn Maxwell and rescue RCB after a poor start as Andre Russell's yorker was too good for the South African star in the first delivery he faced.
