IPL 2021: Former India cricketer Parthiv Patel has said that IPL is all about entertainment, but he would like to see Mumbai Indians defend their title and own the 'biggest record' of winning the tournament three times on the trot.
Former India wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel has said that IPL is all about entertainment and expressing oneself in the middle but he would like to see defending champions Mumbai Indians own the 'biggest record' of winning the title three times on the trot. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had won the title twice in a row in 2010 and 2011 but failed to win for the third successive time after losing the 2012 final to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 5 wickets. Defending champions Mumbai Indians won the title in 2019 as well and are being considered favorites to win the 14th edition also. "IPL is all about entertainment. It is all about how everyone goes out there and express themselves. I have no doubts in seeing the way Virat Kohli has batted, the way Chris Gayle has been batting, the way KKR has played and all of that, but the biggest record which I would like to see is there's not been a hat-trick of winning the tournament, which Mumbai Indians has a very good chance of. So, that is the record which I would like to see broken," Parthiv Patel, who joined Mumbai Indians as a talent scout in December last year, said on Star Sports.More Related News
