CSK recovered from 24 for 4 to post 156 for 6 thanks to Ruturaj Gaikwad's unbeaten 88 and then defended the total by restricting the defending champions to 136 for 8 in 20 overs to grab the top spot on the points table with 6 wins from 8 games.
