IPL 2021: KKR captain Eoin Morgan becomes 3rd skipper to be fined Rs 12 lakh for slow over-rate

IPL 2021, KKR vs CSK: Following Kolkata Knight Riders' 18-run loss to Chennai Super Kings, captain Eoin Morgan was fined Rs 12 lakh for his first over-rate offence in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League.

Kolkata Knight Riders captain Eoin Morgan endured an ordinary Wednesday evening in Mumbai as he was fined Rs 12 lakh after the team's 18-run loss to Chennai Super Kings. Morgan was penalised after KKR maintained a slow over-rate during Match 15 of IPL 2021 at the Wankhede Stadium. Eoin Morgan becomes the third captain after MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma to be penalised for slow over-rate in IPL 2021. "As it was his team's first offence of the season under the IPL's Code of Conduct relating to minimum over rate offences, Mr Morgan was fined Rs 12 lakh," the IPL said in a release.
