IPL 2021: KKR batsman Shubman Gill opens up on adapting to match situations, says strike rate is over-rated

IPL 2021: Shubman Gill said that strike rate is 'overrated' and adapting to different match situations is more important for a batsman.

Kolkata Knight Riders opener Shubman Gill on Sunday asserted that the strike rate is kind of 'over-rated, saying a batsman's biggest strength is adapting to different situations without having a fixed batting style. The youngster is may still not be in team's white-ball scheme of things due to his slow strike-rate but it is not a cause of concern for him. "I think strike-rate is kind of overrated," the Kolkata Knight Riders star batsman told PTI in an interview ahead of the upcoming IPL.
