IPL 2021: The England and Wales Cricket Board on Friday confirmed that Ben Stokes will exit the Rajasthan Royals bio-bubble and have surgery on Monday in Leeds. Stokes has been diagnosed with a fractured finger.
World Cup-winning England all-rounder Ben Stokes will leave the Rajasthan Royals bio-bubble in Mumbai and fly out of India on Saturday, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed. Stokes will have surgery in Leeds on Monday after a repeat X-Ray and CT Scan revealed a fracture on his index finger. Rajasthan Royals confirmed earlier this week that Ben Stokes has been ruled out of IPL 2021 with a finger injury. He had picked up the injury during the Royals' IPL 2021 season-opening match against Punjab Kings in Mumbai on Monday. The Royals had said earlier that Ben Stokes decided to stay with the former champions and motivate the rest of the team for the next few days. However, the need for surgery has prompted an early departure from India. The ECB confirmed that Stokes will be out of competitive action for up to 3 months.More Related News
