Former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra believes Moeen Ali has shades of former Pakistani opener Saeed Anwar, saying the England all-rounder was a very relaxed person.
Former India pacer Ashish Nehra heaped rich praise on Moeen Ali, saying the English all-rounder ‘never seems under pressure’, just like former Pakistan batting great, Saeed Anwar. Nehra believes that Moeen's batting is similar to Anwar while saying that Chennai's skipper MS Dhoni is utilising him really well. An effective left-handed batsman and an off-break bowler, Moeen Ali was purchased by Chennai Super Kings for INR 7 crores at the IPL 2021 Player Auction. Playing for MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings for the first time, Moeen Ali has been promoted at No.3 ahead of Suresh Raina and the England player has established himself as a commendable batsman. Notably, Ali has played 6 IPL 2021 matches, having scored 206 runs at an impressive strike rate of 157.25. “Moeen [Ali] is a very chilled out and relaxed person. I see shades of Saeed Anwar in his batting. He never seems under pressure. He is a utility player and MS Dhoni is utilising him really well,” Nehra told Cricbuzz.More Related News
