IPL 2021: BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla has asserted that the 14th edition of IPL has been postponed and not cancelled. Shukla has also added that the remaninder of IPL 2021 will be held in due course of time.
BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla on Tuesday clarified that IPL 2021 has been postponed and not cancelled completely. Shukla asserted that the remaining matches of the 14th edition will be held in due course of time. IPL 2021, which saw 29 league matches being played till Sunday, was suspended after two more players tested positive in the bio-bubble. Kolkata Knight Riders' Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier tested positive first as the 30th match between their team and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday was rescheduled. On Tuesday, hours before the clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI), Wriddhiman Saha (from SRH) tested positive for the virus. It was also learnt that veteran Delhi Capitals (DC) spinner has returned a positive result in Ahmedabad. Very soon, BCCI took the hard call and postponed the world's biggest T20 league.More Related News
