IPL 2021: Glenn Maxwell delivers early for RCB, hits first fifty in IPL since 2016

Glenn Maxwell is showing early signs that he is hungry for runs in the Indian Premier League. The much-talked-about Australian all-rounder ended his 4-year-wait for a fifty in the IPL as he hit a well-paced 59 from 41 balls for Royal Challengers Bangalore in their 2nd match of the new season against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chepauk on Wednesday. This was Maxwell's first fifty in the IPL since 2016 and the milestone has come after 40 innings. Notably, Maxwell had finished without hitting a single six in IPL 2020 for Punjab Kings following which he was released from their squad. Also, it was only his 7th fifty 84 matches in the T20 league.
