IPL 2021: Devdutt Padikkal tests negative for Covid-19, joins Royal Challengers Bangalore team in Chennai

Royal Challengers Bangalore left-handed batsman Devdutt Padikkal had tested positive for Covid-19 on March 22 and had been under quarantine since then. On Wednesday, he tested negative and has joined the team at the hotel in Chennai.
On a day when Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered a blow as their all-rounder Daniel Sams became the second player from the team to test positive for Covid-19, there was a silver lining as well. The franchise announced on Wednesday that Devdutt Padikkal has tested negative for Covid-19 and as per protocol has joined the team at the hotel in Chennai. “We are pleased to inform that Royal Challengers Bangalore, Left-handed Batsman Devdutt Paddikal, has joined the team on 7th April 2021 with negative reports for COVID-19 as per BCCI protocols. RCB medical team was in constant touch with Devdutt to ensure his safety and well-being (sic),” RCB said in a statement.More Related News
