Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal on Thursday expressed his disappointment on team captain Shreyas Iyer's injury just a few weeks before the start of IPL 2021. Iyer, on Wednesday, was ruled out of the remaining 2 ODIs against England due to a shoulder injury. Absolutely devastated and gutted for our skipper @ShreyasIyer15 - stay strong captain - hope for a very quick recovery. Have full faith that you will come back even stronger from this. India needs you in the T20 World Cup. @DelhiCapitals @BCCI Iyer dislocated his left shoulder while fielding during the series-opening first ODI in Pune on March 23. He dived to save a run off Shardul Thakur's bowling in the 8th over of England's run chase and almost immediately started writhing in pain as he clutched his shoulder. Iyer, who scored 6 runs in the match, was taken off the field and sent for scans where it was revealed that he had suffered a labrum tear on his left shoulder. Iyer didn't take any further part in the match which India won by 66 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.More Related News
