IPL 2021 Final, CSK vs KKR: Ruturaj Gaikwad has arguably been the best batsman in the UAE-leg of IPL 2021. The CSK became the youngest Orange Cup holder in the league's history when he overtook KL Rahul on the run-scorers charts on Friday.
Chennai Super Kings opener Ruturaj Gaikwad became the youngest player in the history of the Indian Premier League to win the Orange Cup during the IPL 2021 final against Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday. Ruturaj needed only 24 more runs to surpass KL Rahul to claim the Organe Cap for the season before the final.
Ruturaj got past Rahul's tally in the powerplay of the IPL 2021 final after Eoin Morgan won the toss and sent Chennai Super Kings into bat. Ruturaj was once again impressive, as he took on the KKR bowling attack in the first 6 overs. Notably, only once in the history of the IPL (Robin Uthappa with KKR in 2014) had gone on to win the IPL title after winning the Orange Cap.
