IPL 2021: Former West Indies batsman Brian Lara has said that MS Dhoni should 'take some rest' as the team's batting order was long enough and players like Sam Curran were in form. Dhoni scored 17-ball 18 on Monday.

After Chennai Super Kings' 45-run win over Rajasthan Royals on Monday, West Indies legend Brian Lara has suggested that MS Dhoni can afford to take some rest as his team's batting order was long enough and its players were in form, The former captain added that 3-time champions CSK should not be expecting too much from MS Dhoni with the bat. Notably, no CSK batsman could hit even a half-century in the match but the team managed to pile up 188 runs on the board vs RR. MS Dhoni came ahead of Sam Curran at the 7th position in the match and scored 18 off 17 balls. Dwayne Bravo and Shardul Thakur were team's 9th and 10th batsman respectively.
