IPL 2021: Cricket boards should not organise any international matches when the IPL is on, says Kevin Pietersen
India Today
Former England skipper Kevin Pietersen called IPL the ‘biggest show in town’ and suggested that cricket boards around the world should try and not organise matches around the event.
Former England skipper Kevin Pietersen on Friday said that the Indian Premier League is the ‘biggest show’ when it is on and therefore the cricket boards around the world should not organise any other matches at the same time. The 50-day long tournament is generally staged at a time when there are minimum amount of other international fixtures, but with the Covid-19 pandemic affecting cricketing schedules around the world, this year the IPL is clashing with several tours. This has put many cricket boards in the awkward position of having to choose whether their players will play in the IPL or be on national duty.More Related News
