IPL 2021: BCCI's Jay Shah thanks UAE government, Emirates Cricket Board for 'seamless transition'
India Today
IPL 2021: The second half of the tournament, which was earlier postponed in May due to a breach in the tournament's bio-bubbles amid the deadly second wave of Covid-19 in India, starts on Sunday when Mumbai Indians face Chennai Super Kings.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah thanked the United of Arab Emirates (UAE) government and the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) for their help in resuming the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL). The league will be played entirely in the UAE this year after it was postponed earlier while being played in India. Delighted that we have put @IPL back on track and the biggest T20 league in the world is ready to roll again. Sincere thanks to the UAE government & Emirates Cricket Board for this seamless transition. @StarSportsIndia @DisneyPlusHS pic.twitter.com/CDZbyAxlB6
