IPL 2021: Venkatesh Iyer, who had made headlines for his big-hitting ability at the top, shone with the ball for Kolkata Knight Riders on Tuesday, picking up 2 wickets in his 4-over spell against Delhi Capitals.
Everything Venkatesh Iyer is touching is turning into gold in the UAE leg of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. The 26-year-old all-rounder did not feature for Kolkata Knight Riders in the first half of the season in India but he has made headlines with his performances in the UAE.
After taking opposition bowlers to the cleaners with his impressive effort with the bat in the UAE, Venkatesh Iyer delivered with the ball for Kolkata Knight Riders in their crunch game against last year's finalists Delhi Capitals. Bowling medium-pace, Iyer gave away just 29 runs and picked up 2 crucial wickets, that of Shimron Hetmyer and Axar Patel as DC were restricted to 127/9 in 20 overs on a slow pitch in Sharjah on Tuesday.
