Apple is expected to announce a bunch of new hardware, from a new iPhone SE 3 and iPad Air 5 to new Mac machines.
Apple will finally be holding its first 2022 event on March 8, which is tomorrow. Like every year, Apple is expected to announce a bunch of new hardware, from a new iPhone SE 3 and iPad Air 5 to new Mac machines. Before we dive into what all the company is expected to launch at its Spring event, let's first take a look at how you will be able to watch it live.
Interested users will be able to watch Apple’s March 8 event via various platforms. It will be live streamed via the company’s YouTube channel or you can simply visit Apple’s event page on the official website. If you use the brand’s Apple TV app, then you will find a dedicated livestream section over here. The Apple event will begin at 10:00AM, which is 11:30PM in India.
The iPhone SE 3 has been in the rumour mill for a while now and it might finally make its debut at the latest Apple event. The handset has already been spotted on an Asian carrier and on Belkin’s official website, suggesting that the launch will likely happen. Popular Analyst Ming Chi Kuo suggests that the device could be made available in three colours, including white, black and red.
It is currently unknown as to what the official name will be. It could be called iPhone SE 3 or iPhone SE Plus, as suggested by leaks. Well, we will get to know about it on March 8. Apple isn’t expected to refresh the design of the device as several leaks have suggested that it will have an old-school design. It is said to come with the same design that we have seen on the iPhone SE 2020. This basically means that you will see thick bezels, a compact 4.7-inch screen, and a physical home button at the bottom.
Further, you can expect the device to pack the new and the most powerful 5nm A15 Bionic 5G chipset that is also found inside the iPhone 13 series. This will be a 5G smartphone, which is speculated to pack a single 12-megapixel rear camera. It will be backed by an external X60XM 5G chip for an improved photography experience.
The iPhone SE 3 is said to cost $300, which is approximately Rs 22,604 in India when converted. However, one shouldn’t get too excited about this as the device will likely cost more than Rs 30,000 in India because of custom duty and GST charges. Kuo predicts that the 2022 iPhone SE will be available with up to 256GB storage option.
We could also see the launch of the iPad Air 5. The company last updated this device back in 2020 and Apple is now expected to unveil the fifth generation of the iPad Air at its latest event on March 8. The tablet is said to come with upgraded internals, similar to the iPhone SE 3. It could pack Apple’s new A15 Bionic processor. It will have support for 5G connectivity in the sub-6GHz 5G range, similar to the iPad mini.
