iPhone 14 Pro models price could be 15 percent higher than last year’s iPhones: Ming-Chi Kuo
India Today
While he didn’t reveal the exact price details of the Apple iPhone 14 series, he did predict that the price will increase by 15 percent compared to older Pro models.
A lot has already been leaked online about the upcoming iPhone 14 series. There are also rumours about the price of the next-generation iPhones. While some have predicted that the price will be higher than the iPhone 13 series, a few have claimed that the devices will be revealed at the same old prices. Now, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is suggesting that Apple could increase the prices of the iPhone 14 Pro models compared to last year’s Pro variants.
While he didn’t reveal the exact price details of the iPhone 14 series, he did predict that the price will increase by 15 percent compared to older Pro models. The iPhone 13 Pro comes with a starting price of $999 in the US, whereas the iPhone 13 Pro Max is priced at $1,099. So, if Apple is planning to increase the price by 15 percent, then the iPhone 14 Pro could cost $1,099 and the Max model might be priced at $1,199. This is basically a $100 price hike, which is something that other analyst have also suggested in the past.
$100 is around Rs 8,000 in India, but Apple usually pegs $1 as Rs 100. So, the price hike is expected to be close to Rs 10,000. In India, the price could be Rs 10,000 higher than the iPhone 13 series. The iPhone 13 Pro was made available in India for Rs 1,19,900, whereas the iPhone 13 Pro Max was on sale for Rs 1,29,900.
So with 15 percent hike, the price of the iPhone 14 Pro could be Rs 1,29,900 and the Max variant could cost Rs 1,39,900. Do keep in mind that all this is just a rumour and Apple will reveal the prices officially in September 2022. The company is yet to announce the launch date, but it is tipped to host its iPhone 14 event either on September 6 or September 13. So, we are just a few weeks away from the launch.
