Apple is reportedly getting LTPO panels, which will allow the always-on display feature on iPhone 13, made by Samsung.
Apple may finally bring the always-on display feature to its iPhone this year, according to a new report. The iPhone 13 may feature an always-on display just like the Apple Watch and Android phones have. Having the always-on display feature means that your phone’s display will not go blank at any time, only if you have enabled the right settings, because your phone will show things like time, date, notification icons, and some tools that you can easily access without having to turn on the display. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has mentioned in his Power On newsletter that if everything goes well, the iPhone 13 will have an always-on display. But Gurman’s prediction for the iPhone 13 corroborates what tipster Max Weinbach said previously. According to the tipster, Apple is going to use low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) panels on future iPhones. Apple uses LTPO panels on Apple Watches because they can support the always-on display feature while conserving battery power by altering the screen’s refresh rate, unlike regular OLED panels.More Related News
