Shalini Sen, the bride, shattered many stereotypes by putting sindoor on groom Ankan Majumdar's forehead.
A bride from Kolkata, West Bengal has gone viral on the internet because of a sweet gesture towards her groom. A video of Shalini Sen, the bride, shows her putting some sindoor on her groom Ankan Majumdar's forehead and it is now doing the rounds on several social media platforms. Not that many days ago, a similar gesture was seen during the wedding of Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa, when Rajkummar himself prompted his bride to put sindoor on his forehead. Isn't this the sweetest?
Shalini and Ankan tied the knot on December 2, and glimpses of their wedding were shared on Facebook by Shalini's sister Krittika. But, putting sindoor on the groom's forehead was not the only norm-shattering thing Shalini did. According to the caption shared by Krittika, the wedding was conducted by a group of female priests and the concept of 'kanyadan' was chucked from the rituals.
