An inquiry had been ordered against Patna ADM KK Singh, who was caught on camera brutally thrashing a teaching job aspirant during a protest by CTET-BTET qualified candidates.
An inquiry report against Patna ADM KK Singh, who allegedly beat up a teaching job aspirant during a protest last month, has been submitted to the government.
Patna DDC and City SP submitted a joint report to Patna DM Dr Chandrashekhar Singh, who has now forwarded the report to the General Administration Department (GAD) of the Bihar government.
On August 22, police had lathicharged CTET-BTET qualified candidates who were protesting in Patna demanding jobs. In the midst of this, ADM KK Singh was caught on camera brutally thrashing protester and aspiring teacher Anisur Rahman with a baton.
The video went viral and there was a growing clamour for action against the ADM, following which the Patna DM Dr Chandrashekhar Singh was instructed to conduct an inquiry into the matter by Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.
Patna DM had formed a joint team of DDC and City SP to investigate the matter and submit a report within two days. When the investigation remained inconclusive after two days, the investigating team sought five more days to complete its probe.
It is learnt that on Friday (September 2), the report was submitted to the DM, who has sent it to the GAD for further action.
It is, however, unclear whether in the inquiry report the ADM has been found guilty, and if the state government would take any action against him.
