Infighting in Punjab Congress turns into poster war between CM Capt Amarinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu

Amid a political crisis in Punjab Congress, posters in favour of Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh have emerged in Amritsar and Ludhiana. Meanwhile, Navjot Singh Sidhu’s posters have been spotted in Patiala.

An AICC panel set up to end factionalism in the Punjab Congress submitted its report to the party chief on Thursday, suggesting a revamp of the state unit to accommodate all sections. Amidst this power tussle, the war of words between Captain Amarinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu has turned into a poster war. In the latest development, posters and hoardings backing Navjot Singh Sidhu appeared in various parts of Patiala, which is Capt Amarinder Singh’s constituency. Along with Sidhu’s photo on the hoarding is the slogan ‘Saara Punjab Sidhu de naal, kisan di awaaz. Punjab mangda hai Guru di beadbi da hisab (Punjab stands with Sidhu and is seeking answers for the lapses in the probe into sacrilege cases)’.
