
Infighting in AIADMK? Shanmugam blames BJP for poll defeat, OPS supports alliance

Two months after the Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, an infight is brewing inside the AIADMK camp over the party's alliance with the BJP. While former law minister C Ve Shanmugam blamed the party's alliance with the BJP as the reason behind its losing polls, former CM O Panneerselvam has said the alliance with the BJP will continue.
Ahead of the party's district secretaries meeting on July 9, the speculations around infighting in the AIADMK has come to the surface again. AIADMK leader CVe Shanmugam triggered a war of words by blaming the alliance with the BJP for the party's loss in the recently concluded Tamil Nadu Assembly polls. His statement saw an immediate response from senior party leader and former Tamil Nadu chief minister O Panneerselvam, who said that the alliance with the BJP would continue. However, former CM and Leader of Opposition in Tamil Nadu Assembly Edapaddi K Palaniswami preferred to keep silence over the matter.More Related News
