Infant dead as SUV with TRS MLA’s sticker dashes 3 women in Hyderabad

An SUV, with TRS MLA Mohammed Shakil Aamir’s sticker, dashed three women, killing a two-and-a-half year old infant in Hyderabad. The location had no CCTV cameras and police are currently trying to confirm the identity of the unknown driver.
A two-and-a-half-year old infant was killed after an SUV, carrying TRS MLA Mohammed Shakil Aamir’s sticker on it hit three women and the infant. The accident resulted in the baby’s death, while the mother received injuries and was admitted to NIMS hospital.
The driver and a passenger who is suspected to have been in the car escaped the vehicle. The accident took place on road number 45 of the posh Jubilee Hills area.
“The accident took place around 8:45-9 pm and the unknown driver of Thar's vehicle hit women selling goods at the signal. Due to the impact of the accident, the boy fell on the ground and instantly died,” said S Rajashekar Reddy, Inspector of Police, Jubilee Hills.
“The accident spot has no CCTV camera. We are trying to ascertain the identity of the unknown driver,” added Reddy. The car has a temporary number plate and MLA sticker on it. The sticker was issued for the recent budget session of the Telangana legislative assembly.
Initially, when asked about the accident, Jubilee Police said it came under Madhapur police limits of Cyberabad, which the Madhapur Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) denied.
He confirmed that the accident took place within Jubilee Hills police station limits of Hyderabad commissioner zone.
So far, police have not been able to ‘identify’ the driver nor arrest or detain anyone.
