Indigo, Spicejet staff held in connection with gold smuggling at Delhi's IGI Airport

Following the arrest of three passengers, the Customs Department has uncovered a gold smuggling racket involving at least three staff members of reputed airlines.
A total of seven people, including four airline staffers, have been arrested by the Customs department in connection with a gold smuggling racket. The arrests were prompted by the seizure of smuggled gold worth Rs 22 lakh at Terminal 3 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport. One of the three passengers caught smuggling gold admitted to having handed over 160 grams of the precious metal to an Indigo airline staffer, an official statement by the Customs department said.More Related News
