A video of an IndiGo pilot making an in-flight announcement in English and Punjabi has gone viral on social media. Video has over 35,000 views.
An IndiGo pilot’s in-flight announcement has grabbed the netizens’ attention. The captain of a flight flying from Bangalore to Chandigarh delighted the passengers onboard with announcements in Punjabi and English. The video was shared on Twitter by Danvir Singh and it has over 36k views.
While it is customary to make announcements on a flight in both Hindi and English, this IndiGo pilot welcomed his passengers onboard by speaking to them in both English and Punjabi. In the video, the pilot can be seen speaking on the microphone. "Some tips by the Captain in a Punjabi-English mix to passengers on flight Bangalore to Chandigarh," read the caption of the post.
The pilot starts off by saying that the passengers sitting on the left would be able to show off their photography skills while people on the right will get to see Bhopal. Now, that is for the passengers sitting on the window seats. Meanwhile, people sitting in the aisle will only turn left and right and look at each other. "Lesson learnt is what? Take a window seat," the captain said.
The pilot also asked passengers to follow Covid protocols and wear a mask at all times. Something we always witness after a flight lands at the airport is people hurrying to get their luggage out and run towards the exit door. He too had a message for them.
"Your luggage is safe. Till the time the doors don't open, kindly remain seated. Luggage is totally safe with you," the pilot said.
