Indian Navy to commission first of four Visakhapatnam class destroyers on Nov 21

The destroyer has been indigenously designed by the Indian Navy’s in-house organisation, the Directorate of Naval Design and constructed by Mazagon Dock Limited.
Visakhapatnam, a P15B stealth guided-missile destroyer will be commissioned into the Indian Navy in the presence of Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai on November 21.
The event will mark the formal induction of the first of the four ‘Visakhapatnam’ class destroyers into the Navy. The destroyer has been indigenously designed by the Indian Navy’s in-house organisation, the Directorate of Naval Design and constructed by Mazagon Dock Limited.
