Indian Muslims not ready to accept Owaisi as their leader: Shiv Sena mouthpiece
India Today
Saamna, Shiv Sena's mouthpiece, came out with an editorial targeting AIMIM chief and Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi, calling him a "behind the scenes facilitator" of the BJP.
Indian Muslims are not ready to accept "people like" AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi as their leader, said an editorial in Saamana, the Shiv Sena's mouthpiece. A former ally of the BJP, Sena is part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra, with party chief Uddhav Thackeray as chief minister.
Referring to the Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad, the editorial in Saamana goes on to say that Owaisi will "become a national leader" on the day that he "gathers the courage" to say that Muslims are Indian citizens and should find a path in accordance with the Constitution of India.
