Indian Chief of Army meets Singapore Defence Minister, visits several military bases

The Indian Chief of Army, General Manoj Mukund Naravane met the Singapore Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen during his introductory visit. He also has plans to visit and inspect several military bases on his trip.
The Indian Chief of the Army Staff, General Manoj Mukund Naravane called on Singapore’s Minister for Defence Ng Eng Hen at the Singapore Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) on Tuesday morning.
During their meeting, Ng Hen and Gen Naravane reaffirmed the strong and long-standing bilateral defence relationship between Singapore and India, and discussed regional geopolitical developments.
Gen Naravane is in Singapore on an introductory visit from April 4-6. He also called on the Chief of Army Brigadier-General David Neo after inspecting the guard of honour at MINDEF.

As part of his visit, Gen Naravane will also visit the infantry gunnery and tactical simulator at the Pasir Laba Camp. Gen Naravane will also deliver a Distinguished Speaker's Dialogue titled, ‘India's Strategic Perspective’ at the Goh Keng Swee Command.
Gen Naravane's visit underscores the strong and long-standing bilateral defence relations between Singapore and India. The Singapore Army and the Indian Army interact regularly through bilateral exercises, professional exchanges, visits and cross-attendance of courses.
