India vs West Indies: Yuzvendra Chahal picked up 4 wickets as he showed signs of return to form in his match-winning spell against the West Indies in the first ODI on Sunday.
Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal revealed that he went back and saw the footage of his performances in India's tour of South Africa and worked on his shortcomings ahead of the ODI series against the West Indies at home. It seems Chahal's decision worked in his favour as the leg-spinner stormed back to form with a match-winning 4-wicket haul in their 6-wicket win over West Indies in the 1st ODI on Sunday.
Yuzvendra Chahal picked up only 2 wickets in 3 matches in South Africa where India were blanked 0-3 in an ODI series. He had given away 174 runs in 29 overs as India suffered without wickets in the middle-overs.

However, Chahal found his mojo back in the first ODI against West Indies in Ahmedabad, picking up 4 wickets for 49 runs in 9.5 overs. Chahal got 2 big wickets as early as his first over, removing Shimron Hetmyer and Kieron Pollard in successive deliveries.
Chahal bowled quicker through the air and got the West Indies captain with a sharp googly. He then went on to remove Shamarh Brooks and picked up Alzarri Joseph to help India bowl West Indies out for 176.
"I looked back at the footage from the South Africa series to see where I can improve," Chahal said after winning the Player of the Match Award in the first ODI.
During the course of his 4-wicket haul, Chahal also became the second-fastest Indian spinner to pick up 100 wickets in ODI cricket.
