
India vs West Indies: Kieron Pollard to lead unchanged West Indies squad for 3-match T20I series

West Indies tour of India: West Indies named an unchanged squad from their home series against England for the T20Is, starting February 16 in Kolkata.
West Indies announced their squad for a 3-match T20I series against India that will get underway on February 16 in Kolkata. Kieron Pollard has been named captain of the unchanged squad for their home series against England. West Indies will play 3 ODIs in Ahmedabad from February 6 and it will be followed by the T20I series at the Eden Gardens.
While Chris Gayle continues to miss out, senior man Pollard has been retained as captain. Big-hitter Nicholas Pooran will be the vice-captain of the West Indies T20I side on their tour of India.
West Indies continue to opt for a good mix of youth and experience in their T20I side as the likes of Roston Chase, Jason Holder, Darren Bravo and the captain himself are integral parts of the team.
"The team has been doing well in the T20I Series against England in Barbados and we decided to stick with the same group of players," CWI lead selector, Desmond Haynes said.
"They have demonstrated great skill and fight and we expect the same kind of performances on the tour of India."
