Former India captain Virat Kohli achieved a new milestone on Sunday, October 2 as he became the first batter from the country to complete 11,000 runs in T20 cricket. Kohli also was only the 4th batter at the highest level to achieve the milestone after Kieron Pollard, Chris Gayle and Shoaib Malik.
Virat Kohli got to the 11,000-run mark during his 49-run knock in the 2nd T20I of a 3-match series against South Africa in Guwahati.

Virat Kohli finished with 11,030 runs after a stunning 49 not out in just 28 balls as he hit 7 boundaries and a six against South Africa. It was a phenomenal batting show from India as they posted 237 for 3 in 20 overs, their 4th highest total in T20I cricket.
Earlier on Sunday, Rohit Sharma had become the first Indian player to complete 400 T20s in his career. The India captain made it special by playing a calculated knock of 43 off 37 balls in the 2nd T20I.
