Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 368 runs, with a high score of 99, in 14 matches for Chennai Super Kings in the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL).
India top-order batter Ruturaj Gaikwad said that in the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) the wickets were bowler-friendly, with the ball turning and there was some swing as well.
The 25-year-old added that in two-three IPL games his dismissals came while playing good shots. Gaikwad scored 368, with a high score of 99, in 14 matches for Chennai Super Kings.
Gaikwad struggled in the first few matches of the IPL. Although he got his rhythm, he lacked consistency during the tournament. After the IPL, he was named in India squad for the five-match T20I series against South Africa. In the first two T20Is, Gaikwad continued to struggle. He finally gave India a good start and went onto register a fifty in the third T20I, which India won.

"In the IPL, the wickets were slightly I would say bowler-friendly because there was not much... I would say flat wicket... two-paced wickets, ball was turning, there was some swing and all," Gaikwad said in the press conference.
