India vs South Africa, 1st T20I Weather Forecast: Very Warm conditions to welcome teams in Trivandrum
India Today
IND vs SA, 1st T20I: Rain played quite a bit of a part in the three-match series between India and Australia. Will it interrupt the first T20I of the upcoming series in Trivandrum?
India and South Africa are all geared up to face each other in the first game of the three-match T20I series in Trivandrum on Wednesday, September 28.
India, captained by Rohit Sharma, will be brimming with confidence after taking down Australia 2-1 in the three-match T20I series. The Men in Blue made a stupendous comeback after initially losing at PCA Stadium in Mohali, where Cameron Green and Matthew Wade decimated them.
The upcoming series is also a chance for India to put in the final touches to their preparations ahead of the T20 World Cup. Axar Patel became the Player of the Series against the Aussies and he will again be looking to step up, this time in the absence of Hardik Pandya.
Harshal Patel went for plenty in the previous series and he needs to up his game quite a bit. Virat Kohli scored 63 in the final T20I against Australia and will be looking to carry the momentum.
South Africa, led by Temba Bavuma, have their task cut out. Earlier this year, the Proteas started with a thumping win over India, but couldn’t win the series. But having won all of their last four matches, they seem to be in pretty good stead.
Bavuma’s men took down England and Ireland 2-1 and 2-0 respectively. Although Rassie van der Dussen isn’t a part of their squad, the presence of Rille Roossuw and Tristan Stubbs makes their batting lineup formidable.
