T20 World Cup: Virat Kohli won the toss for the first time in the tournament on his birthday. He said that India will be playing with three spinners and fast bowling allrounder Shardul Thakur misses out.
India captain Virat Kohli joked that they should have probably played their first game of the T20 World Cup on his birthday as they finally won the toss for the first time in the tournament on Friday ahead of their match against Scotland. Kohli said that fast-bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur misses out as India decided to play with three spinners in Abu Dhabi.
"We are going to bowl first. Dew is going to be a big factor. Try and restrict them and chase it down convincingly if the situation allows us to. Winning my first toss on my birthday, probably we should have played the first game on my birthday," said Kohli at the toss.
