New Zealand fielding coach Luke Ronchi says the players can handle the challenges if they go after the 284-run target with intent on the final day of the first Test on Monday.
New Zealand fielding coach Luke Ronchi said that the team has the belief in them to chase down the remaining 280 runs against India on the final day of the first Test in Kanpur on Monday.
The visitors face an uphill task on Day 5 after being dominated by the hosts on Day 4 as they declared their second innings on 234 for 7 to set New Zealand a target of 284. They were 4 for 1 by stumps with Tom Latham (2*) and William Somerville (0*) when bad light forced the players to end play.
