India vs New Zealand: Sunil Gavaskar questions Rahul Chahar exclusion - He will be wondering what he did wrong
India Today
Sunil Gavaskar, speaking to India Today, said the selectors must explain their decision to drop Rahul Chahar from the T20I squad for the New Zealand series, adding the players need clarity to work on their shortcomings and return stronger.
Legendary India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar questioned the exclusion of Rahul Chahar and Varun Chakravarthy from India's T20I squad for their upcoming series against New Zealand. The BCCI on Wednesday announced a 16-man squad led by Rohit Sharma and it had a few surprise exclusions. India and New Zealand will meet in the 3-match series from November 17.
While the likes of Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja were rested from the T20I series, Hardik Pandya, Varun Chakravarthy, Rahul Chahar and Shardul Thakur were the ones who are missing from the squad despite having been part of the T20 World Cup in the UAE.
