India vs New Zealand, 2nd Test: Jayant Yadav returns to play his first Test since Feb 2017
India Today
2nd Test: Jayant Yadav's last Test appearance came in February 2017 and he makes a comeback at the Wankhede Stadium where he became the only Indian to score a century batting at No.9 back in 2016.
Spinner Jayant Yadav returns to the Indian Test team for the first time since February 2017 alongwith fast bowler Mohammed Siraj for India's second Test against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium. Jayant last played a Test for India against Australia in Pune in 2017, which is one of the few times they have lost a Test at home in the last decade.
Jayant scored a historic century when India last played a Test match at the Wankhede. He scored 104 off 204 balls in the fourth Test and put up a 241-run partnership with captain Virat Kohli for the ninth wicket. Kohli himself scored 235 off 340 balls in an epic knock that knocked the wind out of the sails for England and eventually led to India winning by an innings and 36 runs.
