England tour of India 2021: After the visitors won the 2nd ODI on Friday, Jonny Bairstow has said that the way the white-ball formats are progressing, the teams that hits more boundaries goes on to win matches.
England hit as many as 24 fours and 20 sixes in the second ODI against India, on Friday (March 26), to level the three-match series 1-1 after a commanding win over the hosts. Visiting team’s opener Jonny Bairtsow, who smashed 124 runs off 112 deliveries, was at the helm of affairs as England pounded the Indian bowlers on a forgettable Friday evening for Virat Kohli and co. The reigning world champions had claimed the World Cup title with the help of the (now obsolete) boundary countback rule. England won the tied final against New Zealand as they had scored more boundaries. Friday’s bliztkrieg was all the more proof that England’s batters form the most fierce batting unit in white-ball cricket. According to Bairstow, it’s a current trend for the team which hits the most number of boundaries to generally end up winning a limited-overs game.More Related News
