India vs England: Shame that we could not capitalise on efforts from our bowlers and openers - Eoin Morgan

India vs England: After a 66-run defeat against India in the 1st ODI in Pune, England captain Eoin Morgan rued the chance to win the match after brilliant efforts from his team's bowlers and openers.
England were cruising at 135/0 in just 14.1 overs during their 318-run chase against India in the first ODI in Pune on Tuesday. India had no reply for the onslaughts from England openers Jason Roy (46 off 25) and Jonny Bairstow (94 off 66). But the situation changed drastically from the 2nd ball of the 15th over. Debutant Prasidh Krishna dismissed Roy and a floodgate of sorts opened. England lost their 10 wickets for 116 runs in 10 overs. England captain Eoin Morgan is regretting the missed opportunity to take a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series. He feels that his team should have capitalised on the efforts from his openers and bowlers, who restricted India to 317/5 on a good batting surface.More Related News
