India vs England: KL Rahul explained his hundred celebration during the 2nd ODI against England in Pune and said that it was a message for the critics to "shut out the noise".
KL Rahul continued from where he left on Tuesday and hit a scintillating hundred to confirm his return to form in the 2nd ODI versus England in Pune on Friday. The right-hand batsman was in fine touch as he came in to bat at the number four position in the absence of an injured Shreyas Iyer. India were under pressure due to the early wickets of Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma but the Karnataka batsman pulled his team out of trouble and partnered for 121 runs with captain Virat Kohli. Once Kohli departed in the 32d over, KL had a bigger responsibility to take the team's total past 300. Another 113-run stand between Rishabh Pant and him followed. During the process KL Rahul also brought up his 5th ODI hundred. Notably, he was also the last India batsman to hit a hundred in the format.More Related News
