India vs England: If Rohit Sharma has to play 3rd T20I, logical thing is to rest KL Rahul - Deep Dasgupta

India vs England: With Ishan Kishan grabbing his opportunity at the top on debut, India face a problem of plenty for the opener's role. Deep Dasgupta said the logical thing to do would be to rest KL Rahul if Rohit Sharma is to return for the 3rd T20I on Tuesday.
Former India wicketkeeper Deep Dasgupta said India have a big call to make when it comes to choosing between KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma for the opener's slot in the remainder of the T20I series against England. Deep Dasgupta, speaking to Sports Today on Monday, said Ishan Kishan deserves to get another go after his match-winning performance on debut in the 2nd T20I. India are facing a happy headache and a problem of plenty as Rohit Sharma was rested for the first two T20Is after having been in fine form in the Test series. Kohli had mentioned that Rohit would 'rest for a couple of games' even as India try out their bench strength in the T20 World Cup year. However, it remains to be seen if the team management will decide to bring back Rohit Sharma for the 3rd T20I, scheduled to be played in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, March 16. Ishan Kishan replaced Shikhar Dhawan, who struggled to get going in the series opener, and hit a match-winning 56 off just 32 balls in their series-levelling win on Tuesday.More Related News
