India vs England: Wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan got his maiden India call-up for the T20I series and the 22-year-old Mumbai Indians star is willing to be versatile to break into the star-studded playing XI.
Mumbai Indians star Ishan Kishan said he is open to play at any position in the star-studded India line-up in the ongoing T20I series against England, adding he understands the importance of being versatile and contributing to the team's success. Ishan Kishan was handed a maiden India call-up for the T20I series following his consistent performances in the Indian Premier League 2020 and the domestic white-ball tournaments. Ishan played as an opener and also batted in the middle-order for Mumbai Indians, scoring 516 runs in 14 matches. He was striking at over 145 and stood up in the absence of Rohit Sharma who missed a couple of games due to injury concerns during their title-winning campaign. Leading Jharkhand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy before he joined Team India in Ahmedabad, Ishan had hit a match-winning 173 against Madhya Pradesh in the tournament opener.More Related News
