India vs Australia: KL Rahul hit a stunning flick shot, leaving fans in awe in India's innings in the first T20I in Mohali. The opener hit 55 from just 35 balls on Tuesday.
KL Rahul was in the mood to hit some big ones in the first of a 3-match T20I series against Australia in Mohali on Tuesday, September 20. Rahul took no half-measures as he tore into the new-ball attack of Australia as India began their final leg of preparations for the T20 World Cup in Australia in October-November.
KL Rahul sent fans into a tizzy with a stunning shot in the 3rd over of the innings after Aaron Finch won the toss and opted to bowl first. Rahul hit 3 sixes and 4 boundaries for his 35-ball 55 and the flick shot that he played against Josh Hazlewood was one for the highlight reels.
It was enchanting so much so that the BCCI, which rarely shares match clips on social media, posted the video of the six.
KL Rahul skipped down the track and used his powerful wrists to flick a length delivery into the stands. There wasn't much wrong with the delivery from the Australian pacer but Rahul covered the line by walking down the pitch and htt it into the night sky, leaving his teammates in awe.
Fans on social media shared their admiration for the flick shot from KL Rahul, who showcased a lot of intent after having headed into the Australia T20I series with questions being asked about his strike rate.
Even @BCCI handle can't ignore posting that shot. Hell of a shot https://t.co/dQCAZoy6LM
