India and Sri Lanka will begin a 12-day joint military training exercise 'Mitra Shakti' in Sri Lanka's Ampara from October 4 with a focus on enhancing counter-terror cooperation.
With an aim to enhance inter-operability and share best practices in counter insurgency and counter terrorism operations, India and Sri Lanka will begin a 12-day mega-military training exercise in Sri Lanka's Ampara from October 4.
The eighth edition of the 'Mitra Shakti' exercise, which will be conducted at Combat Training School, will conclude on 15 October, the Defence Ministry said on Saturday.
