India recorded 48,786 new cases of Covid-19 cases and 61,588 recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the active case tally in the country to 5,23,257, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Thursday morning. With this, India's recovery rate reached 96.97 per cent.
